Romona Keveza, Spring 2018: a new elegance

by LAURA SANTAMBROGIO

It's just been presented in New York in the spring-summer collection 2018 Romona Keveza . A brand that appeals to the international jet set, a bit aristocrat, always contemporary.

The bride Romona Keveza is multifaceted, very attentive to trends: choose removable overskirt, lace laser cut, iridescent organza, lace butterflies of applications, silk crepe that interpret minimal silhouette. No shortage of romance and richness of volumes, with unexpected golden metallic shades.

Romona Keveza Collection is a bit more daring and multifaceted, meant for a bride with a bit more daring in her fashion choices.

By Andrew Shang

Where Legends draws from Hollywood glamour, Romona Keveza Collection is a bit more daring and multifaceted, with detachable overskirts, ornate butterfly appliqué, laser cut lace and even color, like a glitzy mermaid gown in metallic gold thread linen and gold leaf-printed silk organza. The collection is meant for a bride with a bit of brass and confidence in her sartorial choices.

New York Bridal Week Spring 2018: Romona Keveza

Brides fashion director Bryony Toogood says: “Silk and crepe predominated at the Romona Keveza spring 2018 show at New York Bridal Week with modern architectural shapes – one-shouldered and body-skimming red carpet looks with over skirts – and a stunning gold linen gown with overskirt of gold leaf silk organza. The other side of the collection was full of sumptuous lace and soft colour hints. Our favourite was the gorgeous blush illusion halter gown of delicate butterfly lace - worthy of a flower filled country wedding.”

The Romona Keveza Collection Luxury Bridal Spring 2018 was unveiled at New York Bridal Fashion Week.

From the modernist to the majestic, the Romona Keveza Collection bride is a multi-faceted and diverse modern woman with a refined sensibility and admiration for fashion. With noticeable references from the ready-to-wear world, this spring offers a breadth of beauty from the streamlined to the statement making. From classic pearl to blush and even metallic gold, there is an undeniable chic sophistication to the gowns.

The collection begins with intelligent restraint as the house’s perfect signature 5-ply silk crepe is sculpted into minimalistic silhouettes – a plunging deep V-neck column gown with detachable overskirt and a romantically austere one-shoulder dress with fluted skirt. The collection develops into the more ornate, both in fabrication and body as an iridescent couture organza is transparent over a short underskirt, blush butterflies crafted in lace adorn a halter gown, and laser cut lace envelopes a sheath dress with a daringly low back and dramatic train. In true finale form - fit for the confident, regal bride, metallic gold thread linen is sculpted into a strapless mermaid gown with a detachable overskirt made of the finest gold leaf printed silk organza.

The Romona Keveza  Luxury RTW Fall/Winter 2017 collection was showcased at Paris Fashion Week.

Romona Keveza's fall presentation reflected the elegance of the show's setting, the Hotel Le Meurice.

By Mayte Allende on March 5, 2017

The Hotel Le Meurice opposite the Tuileries Gardens in the center of Paris was the setting for Romona Keveza’s fall presentation. Keveza subtly echoed the tapestry, palette and design details from hotel’s interiors in some of her dresses — for example, a golden marble-like stretch jacquard long-sleeve gown. She also worked a crepe fabric into polished streamlined silhouette dresses for the customer who doesn’t like fussiness, while adding a feather motif to others, which resulted in an almost necklace effect. Elsewhere, she experimented with beaded illusion dresses in deep autumnal colors from burgundy to teal with barely there tulle for that true nude effect.
